An appeal from the Pram Depot
As Christmas approaches, we want to let you know that our Christmas fundraising appeal has launched!
It has been an extraordinarily difficult year for everyone and PramDepot is no exception. With the onset of the pandemic and the lockdown, we found ourselves having to completely change how we work in order to make sure we could still support all the women and babies who needed us.
In March, we launched the Emergency Baby Box scheme. Each mum we support receives a beautiful box packed full of everything she and her baby needs for the first three months of baby’s life.
We’ve received so much incredible support from our community this year and want to say a huge thank you to all of you for this! Wishing you all a safe festive period and a hopeful new year.

|Who does PramDepot support?|
The mums we support are experiencing a range of incredibly difficult circumstances. Many are refugees and asylum seekers whose immigration status means they can’t access support from public services or receive financial support from the state. Many have experienced and are fleeing domestic and sexual abuse. Others have spent time in prison or in immigration detention and have no support on the outside.
We believe that all babies should have the necessities for a happy and positive start in life
Most of the women we support are either homeless or living in temporary or unsuitable accommodation. Often this means cramming everything you need for you and your baby into one tiny room and having to share bathrooms and kitchens with lots of strangers. We design the Baby Boxes specifically for this situation, making sure all the items are compact and can be easily stored.
