The dispute is entering its second week of continuous strike action by 140 waste operatives over pay disparity and unpaid back wages.

The picture shows the senior rep Aaron Outred, the regional Chair Jim Kelly and Unite community members from south London.

The branch has nominated Steve Turner for GS.

They want a GS who’s got their back and has the breadth of knowledge as well as a tried record of ability to negotiate with employers.

Serco will lose the contract in October and Unite will ensure a just resolution with Serco and a strong collective voice for members with the new company.

Great to see such a large vibrant picket line with over 50 members- and the burgers were pretty good too.
