This UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we are launching the Palestine Solidarity Fund to support immediate relief and provide long-term support for workers, their families and their unions in Palestine.

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, marked on 29 November, recognises that Palestinian people have yet to attain their inalienable rights, such as the right to self-determination.

This year, however, the International Day of Solidarity comes at a time of unfathomable suffering for Palestinian people – thousands have been killed and millions have been displaced by Israel’s indiscriminate military bombardment in Gaza, and hundreds have been murdered amidst escalating violence in the West Bank.

Now, more than ever, we are responding to our Palestinian brothers’ and sisters’ calls for solidarity.

DONATE NOW

At the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), we have a proud history of standing against injustice and violence and promoting rights, democracy, equality and peace and we’re proud to have supported Palestinian trade unions in their struggle for justice, dignity and peace.

We move the world. And we’re calling on you to support us.

Transport unions in Egypt and across the region have committed to delivering as many trucks as we can fill with lifesaving essential supplies for our Palestinian siblings. In close cooperation with the PGFTU, funds will be directed to internationally recognised humanitarian organisations operating in Gaza.

We will also work with the International Labour Organization (ILO) by supporting its urgent funding appeal to implement a three-phase programme focused on immediate relief, longer-term recovery and social protection for Palestinian workers.

That’s why we’re asking you to donate to and share our fundraiser today.

In solidarity,
