Today we said goodbye to a great campaigner for workers’ rights, and for disability rights.

Sean’s family, along with his Unite family, gathered at West Norwood cemetery to give him a fitting send-off which included “Dirty Old Town” sung by the Pogues, “Blowing in the Wind” by Bob Dylan, and “Brothers in Arms” by Dire Straits.

Two of his nieces read out Sean’s original poems, and his nephew told movingly the story of his life.

Sean’s ashes are to be buried with his mother, who died a few days before him, and whose funeral was conducted immediately after his.
