Jeremy Corbyn MP asked about the presence of British soldiers on the ground in Gaza in parliament yesterday. UK Foreign Minister Leo Docherty avoided a direct response, saying only that “Israel’s objective is to defend itself against Hamas”

The minister’s avoidance of the questions suggests that there are UK troops in Gaza – and the question then arises, what are they doing there? They are certainly not defending the Palestinian people against genocide.
